A breaker that keeps tripping or an outlet that has stopped working is rarely the whole story, and Electrical Services Ontario is who Ontario property owners call when they want the actual cause found. Our electricians handle everything from panel upgrades and full rewiring to EV charger installs, standby generators, and commercial fit-outs, on houses, shops, and industrial sites alike.
Every job is quoted before we start, permitted where the work calls for it, and inspected before we hand it back, so nothing about the cost or the code compliance is left for you to guess at anywhere in Ontario.
The electrician who quotes your job is on site while it is done, and every circuit is tested before we close the panel.
A dead panel or a burning smell does not wait for business hours, and an on-call electrician answers after ours.
You get a firm number up front, so the figure on the quote is the figure on the invoice.
We file the notification, book the inspection, and hand you the certificate your insurer will ask for.
Electrical work is the part of a property nobody thinks about until it fails. Bringing it up to current standards pays back in safety, capacity, and lower running costs for decades.
Old panels, undersized wiring, and dated fixtures waste energy as heat. Modern circuits and LED lighting draw less and hold a steadier load.
An EV charger, a heat pump, or a finished basement all need headroom in the panel. A service upgrade gives you room to add them without tripping the main.
Aluminium branch wiring, knob-and-tube, and loose backstab connections are the faults that start fires. Replacing them takes the hazard out of the walls.
Lights that dim when the dryer starts and breakers that trip on a kettle point to an overloaded circuit. Properly sized circuits hold steady room to room.
Most repeat faults come back because the symptom was replaced and the cause was never found. Property owners in Ontario use Electrical Services Ontario for electrical repair, covering fault tracing, testing under load, terminations, and lasting fixes.
Tandem breakers filling a board are a sign the service is already at its limit, not a clever use of space. Homeowners in Ontario use Electrical Services Ontario for panel upgrades, covering demand recording, service sizing, bonding, and inspection.
A licence is what makes the certificate at the end of the job worth anything to anybody else. Property owners in Ontario use Electrical Services Ontario for a licensed electrician, covering individual licensing, insurance, testing, and documentation.
Running an extension lead permanently is a sign the room is short of outlets, not short of leads. Homeowners in Ontario use Electrical Services Ontario for outlet installation, covering new circuits, cable routes, box mounting, and testing.
Machinery that starts sluggishly or trips on load is usually starved by its feed rather than worn out. Businesses in Ontario call Electrical Services Ontario for equipment wiring, covering feeders, disconnects, motor starters, controls, and commissioning.
A charger draws continuously for hours, which is a very different demand from anything else in the house. Property owners in Ontario use Electrical Services Ontario for charger installation, covering capacity checks, dedicated circuits, permits, and inspection.
Every panel and circuit is sized from a real load calculation rather than a guess, so adding an EV charger or a heat pump later does not push the service past what it can carry.
Dispatch runs seven days a week and an on-call electrician answers after hours, because no power, a burning smell, or a breaker that will not reset cannot wait until Monday.

We file the notification, book the inspection, and hand over the certificate at close-out. It is the step most quotes leave out and the one your insurer asks for.
Drop sheets go down, cuts get patched, and the panel directory is typed rather than scrawled. The property looks untouched apart from the work you asked for.

Because we are more than a contractor on a call sheet. Licensed electricians, written pricing, and work that passes inspection the first time.
We have two properties, one in the city and one three hours north, and getting the same standard at both had never happened before. Panel upgrades at each, both certified, both invoiced at the figure quoted.
Needed EV chargers across a small fleet of company vehicles at three sites. Electrical Services Ontario did a load assessment at each, told us one site needed a service upgrade first, and staged the work around it.
Our rural place kept losing power to the outbuildings. They traced it to a buried feeder that had been nicked years ago, replaced the run and left the yard exactly as they found it.
Insurance wanted the knob and tube gone before they would renew. Electrical Services Ontario rewired in stages over three weeks so we could stay in the house, and filed the certificate the insurer needed.
Two other companies quoted for a full service upgrade. These ones metered the load for a week first and showed us the existing service had plenty of headroom. Cost us a callout instead of thousands.
Standby generator for a property that loses power most winters. Electrical Services Ontario sized it to what we actually run rather than the whole house, which halved the price and still covers everything that matters.
Don't see your area listed? We likely still serve you — just ask.
Yes. Every service change needs an electrical notification filed and an inspection booked before the work is signed off, with no exceptions for like-for-like swaps. We file the notification within 1 business day of your approval, schedule the inspector, and hand you the Certificate of Acceptance at close-out. Keep that certificate, because it is the document your insurer asks for when you renew.
Most attached-garage installs land between $900 and $1,800, and the two things that move the number are the length of the cable run and whether your panel has a free double-pole slot. A ten minute load check tells us which end of that range you are on. You get a fixed written price before any work starts.
Usually. We hold same-day slots every weekday for no-power calls, burning smells, and breakers that will not reset, and an electrician is on call after 10PM for genuine emergencies. If we cannot reach you the same day we will tell you when you call rather than after you have waited. Booked work such as panel upgrades is typically scheduled within 5 to 10 business days.
Every job carries 2 years on our labour plus the manufacturer warranty on any panel, breaker, or device we supply, which usually runs 1 to 10 years depending on the part. The terms are printed on your invoice rather than buried in a policy document. Electrical Services Ontario honours that labour warranty regardless of which of our electricians did the original work.
Regularly, and it is one of the most common reasons property owners in Ontario call us. We can replace the wiring in stages if the budget calls for it, starting with the circuits insurers flag first, and we provide the documentation and certificate they require before renewing. Most full-house rewires run 3 to 5 working days depending on the number of circuits and whether the walls are open.
Three signs matter most: a service rated at 60 or 100 amps, a panel with no spare breaker slots left, and breakers that trip when two ordinary appliances run together. Any fuse panel, or any panel carrying a recalled brand, should be assessed regardless of how it is behaving. We run a load calculation across Ontario properties and tell you honestly whether an upgrade is needed or whether a subpanel solves it for less.
A standard 100 to 200 amp service upgrade is a single day on site, and your power is off for roughly 4 to 6 hours of that while the service is swapped and terminated. We give you the shut-off window the day before so you can plan around fridges, freezers, and any work-from-home commitments. The inspection is usually booked within 2 business days of completion.
Every electrician on our crews holds a valid licence, and the company carries $5 million in liability coverage plus full WSIB clearance. We subcontract nothing, so the person who quoted your job is the person on your property doing it. Electrical Services Ontario can send current copies of the licence, insurance certificate, and WSIB clearance before we start if you would like them on file.
